The HDMI Virtual Matrix A/V over IP System HX-143AVC/HX-143T/HX-143R is a revolution in audiovisual technology that redefines the way people manage and distribute multimedia content. It perfectly extends Video/USB/Audio/IR/RS-232 access to remote multimedia players/computers with impeccable 4K UHD video quality and nearzero latency over a Gigabit LAN (Local Area Network). The system supports encrypted H.264 digital streaming up to 3840x2160@60Hz display resolution. The Virtual Matrix A/V over IP centralized controller HX-143AVC controls the access authorization of all the HX-143T transmitters for HX-143R receivers dispersed throughout the same LAN environment.
It supports Intuitive Drag-and-drop operation for connecting TX and RX units in its Web Management Interface. It is especially adaptable to quickly build up a powerful A/V distributing system in various applications like broadcasting, educational institutions, and many other industrial fields. Advanced functions of this system including Optical SFP Transmission, Grouped Switching, Video-wall Configuration, and Console Collaboration have brought high flexibility and convenience to make your system a versatile one.

The centralized controller HX-143AVC further supports 3-tier User Permission Management, allowing the authorization of different users to operate this system. Other optional accessories, such as wall-mount keypad and control tablet are also available for operating the system either via RS-232 or the LAN, to enhance the user experience in terms of convenience and flexibility.

If you do not want to display one computer with a multi-monitor workstation, but rather a mix of several computers:

Any assignment can be set using the “Virtual Matrix AV over IP Centralized Controller” to control the HX-143 system.   

Easiest operation:
Since you can create mouse roaming groups in the "Virtual Matrix AV over IP Centralized Controller", no additional USB switch is necessary. 
As in the manual on page 38 Chapter 5 (3) Mouse Roaming, you just have to select, for example, four receivers (your control station) and position them in the settings in the way they are physically structured for you.
Then simply use the HX-143AVC to select the four transmitters that you currently want to operate. The mouse now runs over the screens as if it were a computer and you then automatically operate the monitor or monitors of the respective computer that was selected.
 

Without the HX-143AVC, if you want to operate content from different computers on your multi-monitor station, you would always have to use a manual USB switch to switch to the receiver (monitor) that you want to operate and then select the desired PC source there.

If only one computer is selected from a control station via the OSD menu, the HX-143AVC is not absolutely necessary.
