Perfect for 2 laptops and 2 monitors: only one x USB-C (MST) cable to every notebook.
On 2x HDMI-Out for the monitors and many other shared USB and audio connections, etc.
Additional two PD loading connections, which (not supplied) to the notebooks suitable USB-C charging adapter by path through over the only one USB-C cable to every notebook and automatically charging the notebooks. 
Simply switch between your notebooks and maximize your productivity with additional screens.
The wired LAN is also automatically and simultaneously available to both notebooks, provided you put a LAN cable from your router in the KVM-Switch.

1. What is docking station?
A docking station is a device that allows a laptop or mobile device to connect to multiple peripherals and accessories, such as monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, and more. It provides a convenient way to transform a portable device into a desktop-like setup, offering expanded connectivity and functionality.

2. Does this docking station support dual 4K monitors on all laptops?
Dual 4K@60Hz display is supported if both connected laptops have USB-C ports that support DisplayPort 1.4 with MST (USB-C 3.2 Gen.2).
If your laptop only supports DisplayPort 1.2, the resolution may be limited (USB-C 3.2 Gen.1).
MacOS only supports mirrored mode due to its lack of MST support.

3. How does the 1G Ethernet port work when switching between laptops?
The docking station maintains a single gigabit Ethernet connection between two laptops.
Both notebooks remain permanently connected to the wired LAN, which ensures stable and fast internet access.

4. Why is EDID emulation important in a KVM-Switch?
EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) emulation ensures your monitors retain stable resolution, arrangement, and settings, even when switching between connected devices. This prevents screen flickering, icon displacement, or lost display settings, ensuring a smoother and uninterrupted experience.
